La nouvelle tour dont l’objet est de supporter les nouveaux équipements de process industriel (dit de précalcination) vient se positionner devant la tour existante. Elle est structurellement totalement indépendante de la tour existante. Sa position exacte est déterminée d’une part par les impératifs techniques et d’autre part la volonté de ne pas interférer avec les massifs de fondation de la tour existante et du four. De par sa fonction emblématique de l’activité et son gabarit, la tour sera un élément moteur de l’architecture de l’usine.  

The new tower, designed to support the new industrial process equipment (precalcination), is positioned in front of the existing tower. It is structurally completely independent of the existing tower. Its exact position is determined by technical requirements and the desire not to interfere with the foundation masses of the existing tower and the kiln. Due to its iconic function within the activity and size, the tower will be a key element in the plant’s architecture.
